The final day of the Conference began with the second part of Dr. Han’s presentation on the Global Magnitsky Act. In this session, he focused on the evidentiary requirements, emphasizing the high bar that must be satisfied, and the importance of using multiple sources and corroborating evidence. Joint Statement
The 12th InterEthnic/InterFaith Leadership Conference
Dec.17, 2017, Tokyo, Japan
We, the participants in the 12th Interethnic/Interfaith Leadership Conference, reaffirm our commitment to mutual respect, understanding, and support; we also agree that we shall work together to actively support full and rigorous enforcement of the Global Magnitsky Act, and to hold human rights abusers and kletopcrats in China accountable. In addition, we pledge to make our best effort to urge other democratic countries, particularly Japan and Australia, to pass similar laws to impose sanctions against the Chinese perpetrators of GVHR and corruption. We will meet again next year in Australia to review this endeavor.
